Sir,
Today I read that you described the targeted killing of Sheikh Yassin as "unacceptable" and "unjustified". Let me remind you of an expression that if I am correct was the wisdom of a great British leader, Sir Winston Churchill: "Appeasement is like feeding the crocodile in hopes that it will eat you last."
Differentiating between the "spiritual leader" who teaches the destruction of Israel by terror acts and the terrorist who actually kills innocent victims, is a typical example of the weakening of western values. Moreover is it a dangerous tactic of appeasement, which the extremists use to their benefit.
Sheikh Yassin was as much a "spritiual" leader as Hitler or Ben Laden. None of them have actually pulled the trigger, but all of them were responsible and organized the killing of numerous victims.
Respectfully,
Yair Malachi
