Subject: Anger in Jerusalem
The repetitive scenes you are showing of the violence in Jerusalem are dramatic but not very informative. How are your viewers expected to evaluate the contradictory claims made by the Israeli police spokesperson and the angry political statements by the several Palestinian commentators who are interviewed.?
Your service to the public would be greatly enhanced if you would film actual details of the work being carried out by Israel, commented by experts, so that we, your viewers, can judge for ourselves whether the volcano of rage is justified.
You have the facilities to produce factual footage showing whether in fact there is a likelihood that renovating the bridge can damage the foundations of the Aksa Mosque on the Temple Mount. Please do so.
It is unfortunate that the offer by Israel authorities to arrange 24 hour TV surveillance of the work so that it can be viewed around the world on the internet as reported by CNN's Ben Wiederman, has not been taken up.
Is it possible that there are interests NOT to see the truth?
Sincerely
Maurice Ostroff
