Sir,-As Perthshire pensioner Alison Philips continues to attempt to get into Gaza, perhaps she will reflect on the Hamas terror regime that is strangling the enclave, and the 60 years of Palestinian complicity in the causes of their own despair.
There are no restrictions on the flow of food, medicines, power or other humanitarian supplies entering Gaza-at least not on the Israeli border.
Egypt maintains its own restrictions, and the border into Gaza is almost totally shut down.
There are no restrictions on industrial fuel, and cooking gas is delivered as required.
Only a few months ago Save the Children reported, "We're pouring in supplies and support around the clock".
The European Union working group for Middle East affairs recently reported, "There is no shortage of equipment and cement for construction in Gaza, and Hamas is controlling the resources.
"There are no shortages in Gaza but there is a problem of unemployment for civilians who are not close to Hamas."
