Subject: Apology for al-Dura broadcast
Dear Sir: Today the French Court ruled that "France 2 broadcast a fake news report, that [al-Dura's shooting] was a staged hoax and that they duped everybody - without being sued". (http://www.jpost.com/servlet/Satellite?pagename=JPost/JPArticle/ShowFull&cid=1211288137213 ) But of course it wasn't just the France 2 that broadcast this libel against the IDF; the BBC was especially egregious in its broadcasting of this libelous material again and again and again.
I should think that the very least the BBC can do-the very least the British libel laws require you to do-is issue a public apology to the Israeli Defense Forces and the Government of Israel for libeling them. Why isn't that apology your front page news story?
